The map above shows the most popular website by country. Each country is weighted by the size of its internet population.
Google reigns supreme in The US, Canada, Ireland, UK and most of Western Europe except Norway. However, Facebook is the leader in Mexico, the Philippines, large chunks of central and South America and Africa.
Outliers include: Russia where Yandex is the most popular site, Kazakhstan where Mail.ru is number one, China who opt for home grown hit Baidu (along with South and possibly North Korea), and Japan who choose internet also ran Yahoo, ahead of either Google or Facebook.
